We increase access to affordable, high-quality early childhood care and education in Kenya’s low-income communities.
What We Do
Over the past 3 years, we’ve established and managed our flagship project - Pendo Murera School, a community-based early learning center exclusively serving young children below age 6. Our vision is to establish a network of similar schools in low-income communities.
Why We Do It
The first five years of life are the most important years for childhood development which sets the trajectory for adulthood: the brain is most flexible and adaptable to learning during these years.

The Evolution of Pendo School

In 2018, we broke ground for Pendo School!

With four classrooms complete, our first class was held in 2019.

Alongside responding to COVID-19, our number of pupils grew in 2020.

We achieved several milestones in 2021 - including our first graduation ceremony!

This year, we have a total of seven classrooms.
